What is your average weekly mileage?

Currently averaging 40-50 for Half-Marathon training.

What is your favorite workout?

I love speed workouts on the track, it’s oddly addicting to run in circles.

Favorite pre-race/post-race foods

Potatoes are my all-time favorite pre-race food!

What is the piece of running gear/food/drink that you cannot go without?

Potatoes, tracksmith shorts and nuun infused water.

What is your favorite running moment or running quote?

“Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up, it knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve. It doesn’t matter whether you’re the lion or a gazelle-when the sun comes up, you’d better be running.” – Born to Run.

Describe your running before HRL and after

I’ve never been on a running plan or had a coach for running, so I’d say this is the most fun i’ve had with running.

Why does training with Hawaii Running Lab work for you?

It helps to not have to worry about what to do or if i’m doing too much, or too little. Having the support from Michael has made it an enjoyable process. In my first year of running with Michael as my coach, I shaved 19 minutes off my marathon time and qualified for Boston Marathon.
