Tell us a little about yourself…

How long have you been running? I started running consistently in September 2015 when I began training for my first half marathon (Maui Oceanfront-Jan 2016)

Please list your favorite races and PRs

My favorite race has been the Rome Marathon. It was so surreal getting to run by the Vatican and the starting and finishing at the colosseum. This was my second marathon and I was able to get a sub 4 hour time (3:57)

What are your 2017 Racing plans and running goals?

Too many to tell haha! Main ones: Mayors Half Marathon (Alaska) where I am aiming for a PR (1:40-1:45), Rock’N’Roll Las Vegas half marathon, and the Honolulu marathon.

Any “bucket list” races?

The Great Wall half marathon, Athens Marathon, Disney!!

What is your average weekly mileage?

20ish

What is your favorite workout?

I love track workouts.

Favorite pre-race/post-race foods

Banana or fruit strip before race, and I love a good cheeseburger after a big race!

What is the piece of running gear/food/drink that you cannot go without?

My Garmin and my wireless headphones!

What is your favorite running moment or running quote?

Crossing the finish line at the Honolulu Marathon! My first ever Marathon! Something I said I would never do! It was amazing to start 2016 off with my first half marathon, and finish the year with my first marathon!

Describe your running before HRL and after.

Before HRL I was just winging my workouts. I didn’t have a purpose. Now each workout is planned out and there is a specific plan for each run!

Why does training with Hawaii Running Lab work for you?

I just started, but I am loving it! Workouts are planned according to my preferred schedule, and with my goals in mind!
